Baylie dancing...

This year it was especially cold and the dance team spent all the time between dances huddled around a heater the director brought. Poor things! It's not very warm in those Ms. Claus dresses- but you never would have known they were freezing while they danced. They're a great bunch of girls.

One of the historical hotels in our town had a horse-drawn carriage out front. But, we didn't have time to take a ride with Baylie dancing.

There was also an old Wurlitzer playing Christmas songs.

I love having this as one of our Christmas traditions every year. I just know it'll be something the kids think about when they think of their childhood.

This looks great. I wish we had something like that in NY. What is Wasill?
The girls loook really cute!:)
Hey Dawn! I'm here! Can't wait to follow along on all of your adventures! Baylie looks adorable in her Mrs. Claus costume. It sure looks warmer there than it has been here!
It's a hot drink that is served at Christmas time.
Here's a recipe:
HOT WASSAIL
In the base of a 12 cup percolator put:
1 part cranberry juice
5 parts apple cider (unpasteurized)
In the percolator basket put:
6-8 whole cloves
2 tbsp. honey
2 cinnamon sticks
1/4 chopped lemon (with rind)
Brew wassail as you normally would coffee. Serve hot with a slice of lemon or cinnamon stick.
Enjoy!
Hi, Jodi! I'm glad you came over!
I'm sure it has been colder up there than here. But us Texas girls don't do 40 degrees-especially if we have to be outside in it.
Yesterday it was 85, then dropped to 35 with sleet in a matter of a few hours! We were so confused! LOL
Dawn,
Baylie looks like she is having a ball!
Yes, she's much happier on the team this year than last year doing solos.
Baylie looks so sweet and how great to get chosen to dance!
Thanks, Jo! It is an honor.
